SOUTHPORT — Frances Fulford Woodard, age 90, died on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at Ocean Trail Convalescence Center in Southport, NC.
Frances was born in Gloucester, NC and was raised in Washington, NC the daughter of Georgia and Albert Fulford. She married George M. Woodard of Stonewall in 1949 and they made their home in Aurora NC where they raised 2 sons and she worked as the librarian at the Hazel W. Guilford Memorial Library and the BHM Regional library for many years. In recent years she resided at The Homeplace Assisted Living Facility of New Bern, NC.
Frances is survived by two sons, Philip Bryan Woodard of Southport, NC, George Frank Woodard of Del Ray Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August, 8 2009 at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Aurora, NC with the Rev. Fred Fordham. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
