A funeral service for Edward Hill “Ebo” Matthews, a long time resident of 1107 Summit Avenue in Washington will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15th at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church officiated by the Reverend Donald Wiesner. Ebo passed away in Newport News, Virginia on July 21, 2009 at the age of 100. Burial will follow in the family plot at Oakdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 101 N. Bonner Street, Washington, NC 27889.
