William “Bill” George Randall, 82, of Hampton, Va. died Monday, August 10, 2009, in Louisa, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie and son Bernard Asa Chris Chrismon. Surviving are his sister Carol Steene, daughter Rebecca Michalski and her husband Walt; grandchildren Chris Randall Chrismon, Todd Holdcraft, Liza Kane and Rebecca E. Michalski; and, great grandchildren Ben and Rebekah Chrismon, Riley and Alexis Kane, and Trent and Carson Randall Holdcraft. He joined the US Marine Corps at 17 and retired in 1964 after serving his country in WWII, Korea and Okinawa. He retired from the Veterans Hospital with a total of 40 years civil service. His daughter would like to especially thank his grandchildren and Kimberly Chrismon, Diana Onas, and Joseph Thomas who assisted her in every way when Mr. Randall became ill. He had been residing at Lake Anna Elder Care in Louisa for the past year and received so much love and care from Lorine Brown and her staff. He wanted to be remembered as a good man. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 13, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel Newport News, on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at the Oakdale cemetery in Washington, NC, with military honors.
