Miss Nina Leigh Sawyer, age 79, a former resident of Belhaven died Sunday September 13, 2009 at Britthaven Nursing Home of Washington, NC.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday September 16, 2009 at Pamlico Beach Community Cemetery at Ryder Hill officiated by Rev. Medford Hopkins.
Miss Sawyer was born in Beaufort County on December 28, 1929, daughter of the late Ivey “Frank” Sawyer and the late Lucy Robbins Sawyer. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a brother: Gerald Sawyer of Washington; a sister: Frankie Jones of Washington: two nieces: Debbie and Tammy Jones both of Washington and a nephew: Billy Jones of Washington.
