My name is Hayley Foy and I am 16 years old. I would like to bring to your attention a serious issue in our society today. I find many other teenagers my age and younger smoking cigarettes and it concerns me. One in two people will die from their smoking habit. In younger people, three out of four deaths from heart disease are due to smoking. I would like to request more smoke-free zones to reduce this risk and lower these statistics. Many teenagers are easily influenced everyday. I know, because I am one. I strongly believe that without having the freewill to smoke wherever we wanted to, maybe our society would understand the big picture. Please help me in encouraging teens and others not to smoke. Thank you and God bless.
