Mr. Heath Merritt Bridgman, age 37, a resident of Old Pamlico Beach Road West, Belhaven, NC died Saturday September 26, 2009.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today, September 30, 2009 at Pamlico Beach Community Cemetery at Ryder Hill officiated by Rev. Dean Fulford, Jr. Pallbearers will be Toby Sawyer, Richard Voliva, Picket Voliva, Lee Fulford, Montie Hopkins and Bear Braddy.
Heath was born in Beaufort County on July 31, 1972 son of Colin Ray Bridgman and the late Lora Sawyer Bridgman. He was a 1990 graduate of Northside High School. Heath was a commercial fisherman.
Heath is survived by his father and step-mother: Colin Bridgman and Anita Bridgman both of Pamlico Beach; a daughter: Lora Virginia Bridgman and her mother Irene “Dee Dee” Bridgman both of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister: Jennifer Hopkins and her husband Ronnie of Pamlico Beach; a maternal grandmother: Virginia Sawyer of Pamlico Beach; a step-sister: Crystal Hopkins and her husband Nicky of Washington; and a niece and nephew: James and Megan Hopkins. Heath was preceded in death by his mother: Lora Bridgman and grandparents: Rev. Virginia Bridgman, Allen Bridgman and Raymond Sawyer.
The family will receive friends at Heath’s father’s home located at 1968 Old Pamlico Beach Road West, Belhaven, NC.
