SARATOGA — Donald W. Stehley, Sr., age 90, of 8110 Walter Lane, died Monday, October 05, 2009.
He was a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his son: Donald W. Stehley, Jr., and grandson: Donald W. Stehley III.
Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 08, 2009 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Otis Hamm and the Chaplain James Nixon officiating.
He is survived by his wife: Mary W. Stehley, of the home; two daughters: Sandra S. Lloyd and husband, Larry, of Angier; Irene S. Mills and husband, George, of Chocowinity; one son: Richard Stehley, of Elm City; five grandchildren: Christy Carter and husband, Scott, Ryan Webb, Tina Pressley and husband, Mike, Kimberly McLean, Larry Lloyd, Jr.; two great-grandchildren: Samantha McLean and Nathan Pressley; a special niece: Nancy Besner and husband, Jerry, Quebec, Canada; brother-in-law: Seth Walston and wife, Gladys, of Stantonsburg.
The family will receive friends at Shingleton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
