Playoff games get washed out|Rain disrupts prep football calender

Because of adverse playing conditions, a few area high school football playoff games originally scheduled to be played Friday night have been rescheduled.
Williamston(9-2), the No. 5 seed, will play host to the No. 12 seed Southside Seahawks (4-7) in a 7:30 p.m. game tonight.
The winner meets either No. 4 Wallace-Rose Hill or No. 13 Northampton-East in the second round.
Jamesville(5-4), the No. 8 seed, will play host to the No. 9 seed Plymouth Vikings (7-4) in a 7:30 p.m. game tonight.
The winner plays either No. 1 Manteo or No. 16 Mattamuskeet in the second round.
Creswell (10-0), the No. 2 seed, will play host to the No. 15 seed Northside Panthers in a 6:30 p.m. game Monday.
The winner plays either No. 7 North Edgecombe or No. 10 seed Columbia in the second round. Columbia’s game with North Edgecombe was also postponed Friday night.
