COLUMBUS, GA. — Mary Hart Lawrence of Columbus, Ga., died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, in the chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Dr. Hal Brady officiating. Interment was immediately following at Park Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence was born February 19, 1923 in Columbus, Ga., daughter of the late George Wise Ryan and the late Vivian Hendricks Ryan.
Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by her first husband, John K. Hart; a son, John K. Hart, Jr. and her second husband, Robert J. Lawrence.
Survivors include her daughter, Pegi Hart Haider of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Peggy Ryan Hodges and her husband Harry of Washington, NC; two nieces, Debbie and Kathy; one nephew, Mike.
Mary was a lovely and most gracious lady and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
