Mary A. Norman, age 80, a resident of 250 Lovers Lane, Washington, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Rev. Phillip Jethro officiating. Ray Hope, Jr., Jeffery Lilley, Mitchell Lilley, Robert H. Lilley, Robert W. Lilley, and Jeremy Woolard will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour, Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC and at other times at the home of her son, 36 Country Drive, Washington, NC.
Mrs. Norman was born in Sampson County on January 12, 1929 to Kinnion and Nannie McCullen who preceded her in death. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Alligood Church of God.
She is survived by one son, Ray Hope, Sr. and wife Meghan of Washington; one daughter, Edna Pfuntner and husband Mike of Washington; five grandchildren, Mitchell Lilley, Robert W. Lilley, Ray Hope, Jr., Mindy Hope Woolard and Jeffrey Lilley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Norman and eleven brothers and sisters.
