William N. ‘Pinky’ Manning

William N. “Pinky” Manning, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. He was born January 25, 1932 to the late Herbert and Mollie Whitley Manning.
Pinky was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. He was a farmer all of his life and enjoyed playing golf and watching ball games.
He is survived by his sister Melba and husband Earl Hardison, sister Margaret Hardison and brother Herbert Leslie Manning and wife Clara.
Pinky was preceded in death by sisters Mittie Brown Tice, Mamie Clyde Griffin, Elizabeth Jackson, Eva Gray Askew and Louise Gurkin.
He was blessed with many nieces and nephews and will be missed greatly by each of them.
Funeral service is Monday, December 7, 2009, at Piney Grove Baptist Church at 10 AM with burial to follow at Tice Cemetery. Visitation is at the Church Sunday, December 6 from 6:30 to 8 PM, other times at the home.
Donations may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church, Jamesville Rescue, or Griffins Township Fire Department.
