Ms. Ruth Cook Catzva, age 77, a resident of 1903 John Small Ave., Washington, died Monday, December 21, 2009.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Jacob A. Mitchell.
Ms. Catzva was born in Johnston County on November 13, 1932 to the late Benjamin and Mae Bennett Cook. She worked as a LPN in the Intensive Care Unit of Beaufort County Medical Center for many years. Ms. Catzva was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her former husband, Philip “Buddy” Catzva of Washington; her brother, Dexton Cook of Wilson; three nephews, Wayne Cook of Bath, Harry Thompson of Goldsboro, Randy Cook of Wilson; four nieces, Donna Cook of Destin, FL, Cathy Olive of Wilson, Peggy Cook of Wilson, Terry Cook of Wilson and special friend Nancy Alligood of Washington. She was preceded in death by her sister, Willa Cook Thompson and two brothers, Walter Ray Cook and Milton Cook.
