Aaron Gray “Butch” Clark, age 69, a resident of 2254 Slatestone Road, Washington, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church with The Rev. J. M. “Sonny” Browne, III officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Trinity Church Parish Hall, Chocowinity, NC.
Mr. Clark was born in Beaufort County on June 3, 1940 to George Gray and Polly “Odell” Hodges Clark who preceded him in death. Butch was married to Juanita Perry Clark who survives. He lived most of his life in Beaufort County and worked with Corey’s Home Center in Williamston for 26 years. Butch was known by his friends and customers alike for his tremendous personality; his sense of humor kept everyone laughing. Butch was a trooper to the end!
He loved his dog Tiffany. Butch was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Loyal Order of Moose #1800, Beaufort County Grange #1233 and the Tar Heel Campers Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Gray Clark and wife Sandy of Chocowinity, NC, Bobby Perry and wife Terri of Cold Springs, KY and Jimmy Perry and wife Lori of Greenville, NC; one daughter, Teresa Fulcher and husband Linwood of New Bern, NC; one brother, Bobby Clark and wife Lisa of Chocowinity, NC; eight grandchildren, Derek Clark, Candace Clark, Kayli Clark, Aspyn Fulcher, Tara Perry, Courtney Perry, Corey Perry and Olivia Perry; and four great grandchildren.
