Mr. Clinton Esaw “New Baby” Whitaker, 78, of 1095 Free Union Road, Jamesville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Uniontown Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Jamesville with Bishop Daniel Boston Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Puckett-Purkett Memorial Chapel, Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
