Pam Pack swimmers win again|Team continues to impress this season

Despite missing a handful of swimmers, the Washington Pam Pack continued to make waves in the pool. The boys and girls both picked up victories over Havelock and East Carteret in Saturdays meet.
The boys finished with 115 points, followed by Havelock (93) and East Carteret (31).
Washingtons girls tallied 114 points, holding off Havelock (100) and East Carteret (26).
This was a great win for both squads, Washington coach Spencer Pake noted. We have worked hard this week in practice in an attempt to get back in shape after the holiday break. Now we have to get through exams and get ready for the post season at the end of this month.
The boys notched several first-place finishes in the victory. Will Davis took first in the 200 freestyle (2:12.92) and 100 breast stroke (1:09.95). Davis also helped the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams to victory. The 200 medley team, also consisting of Charles Pfeiffer, York Winstead and James Martin, finished in 1:58.34. The 200 free relay quartet, also consisting of Colin Daw, Winstead and Luke Harris, was timed in 1:46.39.
Pfeiffer added individual firsts in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle (5:44.04).
Daw captured first in the 100 back stroke (1:20.84) and Harris took top honors in the 100 freestyle (57.34).
The 400 free relay team of Winstead, Daw, Pfeiffer and Harris took first in 4:01.45.
Adding seconds were Harris in the 200 freestyle (2:14.92) and Martin in the 100 back stroke (1:24.33).
The small, but powerful girls squad also had a big day with several firsts.
Freshman Kaitlyn Richards took first in the 100 freestyle (1:02.78) and 100 back stroke (1:11.12). Richards also helped the 200 medley relay team and 400 free relay team to wins. The 200 medley team, also consisting of Emily Pfeiffer, Riziki Omonde and Jessie Howard, was clocked in 2:09.09. The 400 relay team, also consisting of Omonde, Shannon Niederhauser and Pfeiffer, continues to shine.
Pfeiffer added firsts in the 500 freestyle (5:46) and 100 breast stroke (1:12.50).
Niederhauser captured first in the 50 freestyle (29.17) while adding a second in the 100 freestyle (1:05.95).
Omonde finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:34.64).
Taking seconds were Micheala Daniels in the 200 freestyle (2:30.69) and Howard in the 500 freestyle (6:52.45).
