Angelo Sharpless, a former star at Plymouth High School, is playing at Elizabeth City State University.
Sharpless was named CIAA Rookie of the Week. Sharpless scored in double figures in both of the Vikings’ games last week. In a win over Johnson C. Smith on Saturday he came off the bench to tally game highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Against Chowan last Monday he fell one rebound shy of a double-double with 9 boards to go along with 10 points.
Sharpless is averaging 9.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

Cor-J Cox, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing at Mississippi Valley State.
Cox is averaging 3.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.

Bradley Van Staalduinen, a former star at Terra Ceia, is playing at Wingate.
Van Staalduinen is averaging 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.

Jordan Cantrell, a former standout player at Washington High School and Terra Ceia, is playing at Randolph-Macon.
Cantrell is averaging 5.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Hunter Johnson, a former star at Pungo, is a captain for the Meredith Avenging Angels.
Johnson is averaging 7.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Samantha Smith, a former star at Washington High School, is playing at Tallahassee Community College.
Smith is averaging 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Joseph Barber, a former standout at Terra Ceia, is playing for CS Energia Rovinari in Romania.
Barber is averaging 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.8 steals per game.

Ralph Biggs, a former star at Washington High school, is playing for Krasnie Krilya Samara in Russia.
Biggs is averaging 7.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
COLLEGE GOLF
FAITH HARDISON
Faith Hardison, a former standout at Williamston High School, is on the East Carolina Pirates golf team.
Hardison and her teammates competed in the Carolina Young Amateur tournament at Pinewild Country Club’s Holly course in Pinehurst. It was not an official match for the Pirates.
Hardison carded a 173 and finished in a tie for 15th place.
COLLEGE WRESTLING
Gabe Gardner and Darien Peele, former standouts at Washington High School, are wrestling at Campbell University.
Gardner is 1-2 at 133 pounds. The freshman’s lone win was a major decision.
Peele, also a freshman, is 0-2 at 157 pounds.
