POTECASI, NC — Lila Roper “Lou” Bishop, age 66, of Pine Forest Rest Home, Potecasi, NC died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids.
Lou was born September 10, 1943 in Beaufort, NC, the daughter of the late John Edward Bishop Sr. and Lila Tuten Bishop. She served in the US Air Force for four years and was a retired paralegal.
Survivors include her sisters, Sue Bishop Liverman of Ahoskie, NC, Jane Bishop Baker and Johnie Bishop Williams, both of Bath, NC. Her brother, John “Jay” Edward Bishop Jr., also of Bath, NC. Her uncle, Earl Roper Tuten and her aunt, Barbara Ann Tuten, both of Atlanta, GA. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held, Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ahoskie, NC with Father Jeff Douglas officiating.
