James Thomas Tommy Lamb Jr., 86, of Wilson died Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Joyners Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. David Haley will officiate.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Joyners Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and at other times at 203 Thurston Drive.
The love of his life was his wife, daughter, grandchildren and his work. He was the owner of Robbins Jewelry and Music Store. He was a member of Winstead United Methodist Church, Wilson Masonic Lodge #712, New Bern Scottish Rite, past treasurer of Wilson County Shrine Club and was a Sudan Shriner.
Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stroud Lamb; a daughter, Bettie Lamb Westbrook; two granddaughters, Taylor Westbrook and Sarah Westbrook all of Wilson; special nieces, Linda Jenkins and husband, Charles of Pink Hill, Sandra Jones and husband, Bud of Kinston, Diane Rusceinski and husband, Gary of Washington and Debbie Minyard and husband, Jack of Kinston; a special nephew, Martin Smith and wife, Sue of Trenton and special daughter, Shannon Massengill of Wilson.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 403 East Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560-4916.
