Martha Joyce Woolard White, age 55, a resident of 906 Long Ridge Road, Pinetown, NC left this world for her heavenly reward on January 24, 2010.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday January 28, 2010 at Alligood Church of God officiated by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Matt Woolard, Dean Cahoon, Roland Modlin, Jr., Adron Jones, Bowen White and Joe Boyd will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kendall Wooten, Brad Coltrain and Murphy Woolard.
Joyce was born in Beaufort County on August 25, 1954 daughter of the late Frederick Fred Carnell Woolard, Sr. and Betsy Jones Woolard Brame who survives. She was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School. Joyce married Murl Harris White on November 24, 1974 who survives. She worked for many years at Flanders Filters and was currently working at Prettl Appliance Systems USA Inc. of Washington. Joyce was a faithful member of Alligood Church of God.
Surviving along with her husband Harris of the home and mother Betsy W. Brame of Washington are two daughters: Jamie Lynn White and her fiancé Rudy Alvarado of Greenville and Ashley Dawn White of the home; a sister: Sue Cahoon of Plymouth; a brother: Frederick Carnell Woolard, Jr. of Washington; a granddaughter: Adrianna Nicole Alvarado; several special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by a son: Abbie Wayne White, her father: Frederick Fred Carnell Woolard, Sr. and her step-father: Guy Weston Brame.
The family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday January 27, 2010 at Alligood Church of God and at other times at the home of Joyces mother Betsy Brame located at 3031 Terrapin Track Road, Washington.
