Mr. James Everette Jimbo Daniels, Jr., age 54, a resident of 1365 Mill Hole Road, Washington, died Sunday, January 24, 2010.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC.
Mr. Daniels was born in Lenoir County on January 31, 1955 to James and Geraldine Pilkington Daniels. On October 21, 1988 he married Margaret Louise Clark, his beloved wife of 23 years, who survives. Jimbo served his country in the US Army. He was a painter in the automotive business. Jimbo was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife and father he is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Sue Daniels and Danyelle Daniels both of Gulf Port, MS and Leslie Ann Wilson of Raleigh, NC; two sons, JJ Smith, and Ralph Wilson, Jr. of Hampton, VA; the love of his life, his goddaughter, Ashley Dale Belote of Washington; one sister, Mary Ruth Schurhammer and husband Kenny of Gulf Port, MS; his two little men, Karl and Coleman Belote; and 14 grandchildren. In addition to a large extended family he left behind many friends including Billy Keech and Mom Keech.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alma Daniels.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center, 600 Moye Boulevard, Greenville, NC 27834, Attention: Fredia Butts, 178 LWJCC.
