Sharpless earns another CIAA honor|Former area stars continue to shine

Angelo Sharpless continues to sparkle for the Elizabeth City State University Vikings.
Sharpless, a former star at Plymouth High School, was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week.
Sharpless is averaging 10.9 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL
COR-J COX
Cor-J Cox, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing at Mississippi Valley State.
Cox is averaging 3.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game for the Delta Devils.

VAN STAALDUINEN
Bradley Van Staalduinen, a former star at Terra Ceia, is playing at Wingate.
Van Staalduinen is averaging 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
HUNTER JOHNSON
Hunter Johnson, a former star at Pungo, is a captain for the Meredith Avenging Angels.
Johnson is averaging 7.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
JORDAN CANTRELL
Jordan Cantrell, a former standout at Washington High School and Terra Ceia, is playing at Randolph-Macon.
Cantrell is averaging 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Samantha Smith, a former star at Washington High School, is playing at Tallahassee Community College.
Smith is averaging 3.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
