Marilyn Gibbs Farrow, 74, of 971 Great Ditch Road, Engelhard died Wednesday evening, February 3, 2010, at her home.
Born in Hyde County, May 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Atmore and Ercell Gibbs. She was married to Raffael B. Farrow, Sr. who survives. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Richard Smartnick, Dr. Sonny Furrow, Russell Smith and Doug A. Gibbs will officiate. Burial will follow in Soule Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 56 years are three sons, Raffael B. Farrow, Jr. and wife, Beth of Grundy, VA, D. Edward Farrow and wife, Linda of Elizabeth City and Jeffrey S. Farrow and wife, Shirley of Engelhard; three daughters, Michelle Farrow Mobley and husband, Michael of Washington, Katherine Ann F. Blake, and husband, Matthew of Wilmington and Lynnette Farrow of Engelhard; a brother, Jesse Robert Gibbs and wife, Linda of Engelhard; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Farrow was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Farrow.
