Cecil Howard Swindell, 83, of Stonewall died Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at home.
He was a member of the Pamlico County Chapter of VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Doris C. Swindell; three sons, Radford Swindell of Stonewall, Wallace Swindell of Chocowinity and Cecil Swindell of Garner; two adopted sons, Jimmy Shawn Swindell and Cecil Gray Swindell Jr. both of Stonewall; three daughters, Barbara Jordan or North Wilksboro, Patricia Dickerson of New Bern and Doris Dunn of Stonewall; one adopted daughter, Erica Swindell of Bayboro; three brothers, Harry Swindell of New Bern, Franklin Swindell of Florida and Robert Earl Swindell of Reelsboro; two sisters, Ellen Dixon of New Bern and Ailene Ashley of Hubert; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 12 at Sandhill Cemetery in Reelsboro with Dr. David Salmons officiating.
