Mrs. Angela Lee Worsley Griffin, 51, of 1848 Cherry Run Road, Washington, N.C., died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at home.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the St. John Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ Church, Washington, N.C., with Elder Russell Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Griffin was born on February 22, 1958, in Beaufort County. She was the daughter of the late Alexander James and Lossie Worsley Spencer. She graduated Washington High School, class of 1975. Angela was a member of the St. John Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ Church, Washington, N.C., and served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Prayer Ministries and Couple Ministries.
She operated the Sugar and Spice Home Day Care.
Garland Edward Griffin and Angela Lee Worsley were married on May 5, 1984.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are, husband Garland E. Griffin and two daughters, Stephanie R. Griffin, Kimberly A. Griffin, each of the home. Three sisters, Ella Moore, Ethel M. Worsley and Barbara Boston, all of Washington, N.C. Three brothers, James E. Worsley (Mary) Washington, N.C., Walter L. Worsley (Julie), Dallas James (Peggy) both of Williamston, N.C. She has one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
The family is receiving friends at the home.
