Sharpless tabbed CIAA Rookie of the Year|Watson has fanned 29 in 20 innings

Angelo Sharpless has had a memorable first season with the Elizabeth City State University Vikings.
Sharpless, a former star at Plymouth High School, was unanimously voted as the 2010 CIAA Rookie of the Year. He became the first Elizabeth City player to earn the honor since Tyrone Smith in 2001. Sharpless was named CIAA Rookie of the Week six times during the regular season.
Sharpless is the Vikings' top scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game. He has eclipsed 20 points three times, including a career-high 24 in an upset win at Virginia Union.
Sharpless is also averaging 6.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.
COR-J COX
Cor-J Cox, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing at Mississippi Valley State.
Cox is averaging 5.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game.
BRADLEY VAN STAALDUINEN
Bradley Van Staalduinen, a former star at Terra Ceia, is playing at Wingate.
Van Staalduinen is averaging 2.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Charity Watson, a former star at Washington High School, is playing with the Pitt Community College Bulldogs.
The freshman pitcher is 1-2 with a 1.05 ERA this season. Watson has fanned 29 and walked 12 in four games. She has allowed just two hits in 20 innings of work.
MEREDITH KNOX
Meredith Knox, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing with the Anderson Trojans.
Knox is hitting .417 with three home runs and 12 RBIs. The senior has two doubles and one triple among her 10 hits. Knox has scored 13 runs and stolen two bases.
BRINKLEY JOHNSON
Brinkley Johnson, a former standout at Pungo, is playing at Pfeiffer.
The freshman is 0 for 1 with two runs scored this season. She has one stolen base and four putouts.
