Mr. W.E. “Topper” Bateman, 68, of 416 East St., Belhaven died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
