Mrs. Louise Bright Sheppard, age 87, a resident of 6833 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010.
A graveside family celebration service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.
Mrs. Sheppard was born in Beaufort County on February 26, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John F. Bright and Eula Mittie Moore Bright. Mrs. Sheppard was a homemaker. She was a member of the Beaver Dam Church of Christ and the Ladies Circles.
On September 6, 1947, she married Loris Beverly Sheppard, who preceded her in death, March 17, 1988.
Mrs. Sheppard is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Sheppard Keffer and her husband, Vaughn and their daughter, Beverly, all of Sparta, Ga., Bobbie Sheppard Hollis and her husband, Bobby and their children, April and Michael all of Washington; a brother, Herlet Ray Bright of Raleigh; and a sister, Elsie Venters of Jacksonville.
The family had a floating visitation until 8:30 p.m. Monday at Mrs. Sheppard’s home.
