GREENVILLE, NC — John Paul Wallace, 68, passed away at home on February 13, 2010. John was born in Kingman, AZ on July 31, 1941. Following graduation from the University of Arizona in Tucson he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He served as an air traffic control officer and rose to the rank of Captain of Marines. In 1968, John began his 26 year career as an FBI Agent. He retired in 1995 and moved with his wife to Greenville, NC. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Owens Wallace; his daughter Anjanette Wallace Holt and husband Ben Holt, and their children, Garrett, Carmela, and Amelie Holt of Norman, OK; and son Major Steven Owens Wallace, USMC and wife Jill Wallace and their children, Eleanor and Katherine Wallace of Stafford, VA.; and brother Robert M. Wallace and wife Lorraine Wallace of Prescott, AZ.
A memorial service will be held on March 18, 2010 in Quantico, VA in the Semper Fi Chapel of the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
