Mr. James Leonard Boland, age 72, a resident of 1074 Mill Hole Road, Washington, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Woolard Family Cemetery, Mill Hole Road, Washington, conducted by Tony Krantz.
Mr. Boland was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 8, 1938. He was the son of the late William Arden “Red” Boland and Eva Jeanette Taylor Boland. Mr. Boland served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1975, retiring as a machinist mate. He worked as a die cast setter at Stanadyne until he retired in 1999. Mr. Boland was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
On October 27, 1958, Mr. Boland married the former Loyce Jean Woolard, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are his children, Jo Ann Flanagan of Washington, Randy Leonard Boland and his wife, Kim of Washington, Steven Lyndell Boland of Largo, FL; three grandchildren, Laura Jeanette Flanagan, Taylor Hope Boland, Zachary Mason Boland; and three great grandchildren, Hunter Michael Edmonds, Haleigh Jade Edmonds and Chloe Mackenzie Nichols.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boland was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Boland; a brother, Howard Wm. Boland and a sister, Barbara Jeanette Facciola.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1074 Mill Hole Road, Washington.
