Adrien Lyle Herring, Jr., age 71, a resident of 459 Foreman Lane, Belhaven, N.C. died Wednesday November 24, 2010.  
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Sidney Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor David Pooser officiating. A private commital will be held at a later date.
Mr. Herring was born in January 26, 1939 the son of the late Adrien L. Herring, Sr. and Helen Latham Topping Herring. He was raised by doting aunts and uncles. Mr. Herring was a graduate of Pantego High School.  He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Herring married Barbara Garrett on December 25, 1961. He owned Herring Electric until his retirement. Mr. Herring’s hobbies included being a gunsmith and knife maker. He loved his friends, which he considered as his siblings. 
Mr. Herring is survived by his wife Barbara Garrett Herring, his daughter, Adrienne H. Lilley and husband Ronald of Pantego, NC, his three grandchildren, Dina Nobles and David and Barbara Jean Lilley.
