Mrs. Violet Toler Beacham, 81, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel, Greenville. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Beacham, a native of Craven County, lived most of her life in Pitt County, near Pactolus. She worked as a seamstress for many years in her home and later at Belks and Brodys department stores. She was a member of Pactolus Baptist Church.
Mrs. Beacham was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Beacham, parents, Blade and Hyacinth Toler, and brothers, Kenneth and Wilbur Toler.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda McKeel and husband, Larry, of Chocowinity, and Patricia Bowers and husband, Edmond, of Pactolus; sons, Mike Beacham and wife, Betty, of Washington, and Gary Beacham and wife, Neta Faye, of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Frances Lee; brother, Melvin Toler, both of Washington; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Edmond and Patricia Bowers.
