Georgia Dean Roberson Van Nortwick, 83, of Williamston died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at Martin General Hospital.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia Christian Church with the Revs. Dolan Baker, David Anderson and Tony Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Nortwick was born March 24, 1927 in Martin County. She was the daughter of George Eason Roberson and Victoria Griffin, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of Maple Grove Christian Church. On July 27, 1958, she married Wiley Stewart Van Nortwick, who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Wiley Stewart Van Nortwick of Williamston; a son, Victor Stewart Van Nortwick and his wife Kim of Williamston; a sister, Sarah Roberson Manning of Williamston; two grandchildren, Patrick Eason Van Nortwick of Raleigh and Victoria Gray Van Nortwick of Williamston; three nieces, Alice Coltrain of Williamston, Martha Vick Taylor of Williamsburg, Va., and Kay Coffin of Lewisville, Ind.; three nephews, A.D. Coltrain and Joseph Claude Leggett, both of Williamston, and Freddie Eason Coltrain of Greenville; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. tonight at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston.
