Hardee-Johnston

Lauren Ashley Hardee and John Bradford Johnston exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on October 30, 2010, at 3:30 p.m., at the Rock Springs Center in Greenville, N.C., with Pastor Michael Meshaw officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Hardee of Greenville, N.C., and the granddaughter of Dilton and Ola Haddock and the late Larry and Beulah Hardee, all of Greenville.

The groom is the son of Mr. Sidney Johnston of Greenville and Ms. Sharon Johnston of Washington, N.C., and the grandson of Billie Johnston and the late Russell Johnston of Greenville, and the late Henry and Dorothy Harding of Washington.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was escorted by her father. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Christie Hall, Mrs. Danielle Best and Miss Ginger Hardee, all cousins of the bride and of Greenville; Mrs. Dawn Johnston, sister-in-law of the groom of Chocowinity and Miss Courtney Utley, friend of the bride of Atlantic Beach.

Miss Sara Selby, niece of the groom of Chocowinity, served as junior bridesmaid and Miss Savanna Hall, cousin of the bride of Greenville, was flower girl.

Mr. Sidney Johnston served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Johnston, brother of the groom of Chocowinity; Mr. Bradley Hardee, brother of the bride of Greenville; Mr. Jonathan Anderson and Mr. Hunter Nichols, friends of the groom of Greenville and Mr. Steven Hodges, friend of the groom of Washington. Ring bearer was Mr. Logan Johnston, nephew of the groom of Chocowinity.

Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a dinner dance reception at Rock Springs.

The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at CPW’s in Greenville.

The bride and groom were given a shower at the home of Donald and Dorothy Hudson by the bride’s family. A shower was given at Grace Church by the ladies fellowship. A bridesmaids luncheon was held at The Daily Grind two weeks before the wedding, given by Mrs. Christie Hall and Mrs. Danielle Best, cousins of the bride.

The bride earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and is employed as an Ultrasonographer at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The groom has an Associates Degree in Arts Prebusiness, and is a Firefighter/EMT with the City of Washington.

After a wedding trip to Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Greenville.
