Nettie Mae Gurganus Alston, 88, formerly of Republican Road, Windsor, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Beacon Shores Health Care and Rehab Center in Virginia Beach, Va. A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Steve Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home, Windsor.
