Dorothy Anne Latham Sparrow, 85, died March 30, 2011, in the home she was born in on March 26, 1926, in Bath, N.C. Her loving husband, Leon Ray Sparrow, and devoted son, Perry Leon Sparrow, preceded her in death. Per her wishes, there will be no service.

She is survived by five children, Marvin Sparrow, Mary Anne Haskell, Ruth Parish, Effie Sparrow, and Bonner Sparrow, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. They invite friends and family to join them in celebrating her life on Saturday, April 9, at her home at 210 S. Main Street in Bath, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., floating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bath Community Rescue Squad.
