It’s too bad we didn’t have someone on the hospital board for the past few years who could read and understand financial statements.
Chalk the recent hospital audit reports up to the county. Expenses due to the system of restricted voting for county commissioners. However, figures do lie and liars do figures. Why would the county choose the audit firm that also audits UHS. Isn’t this a conflict?
The Washington Daily News needs someone who will read an editorial that is printed on your editorial page before writing the headline for it. The one on Wednesday, March 30, couldn’t be anymore than 180 degrees off of what the text was.
I am willing to bet that once the new police station is built on Market Street Extension that the monthly and yearly gasoline bills for the police station will be more than what it currently is. To me it makes more sense to have a police station centrally located for response and for patrolling.
I wish you would have better coverage of the Washington Pam Pack baseball team.
To all true hummingbird lovers: Scientists have proven that the hummingbird feeders do them damage and may eventually wipe them out. If you truly love hummingbirds, then plant plants and flowers that they love.
