On Monday, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged sexual offense involving a juvenile that resulted in the birth of a child.

As the result of an investigation, Investigator Robert Gaskins obtained a warrant charging Vladimir Hernandez Guerrero, 23, of Pointe Drive, Washington, with one count of statutory rape of a person who is 13, 14, or 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim.

Guerrero was arrested Thursday and confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
