Williams charged with robbery

Javores Cortez Williams, 24, of 211 Waters St., Aurora, has been charged with robbing the Aurora Mini Mart on Thursday morning.
Aurora police Chief Will Watts arrested Williams within minutes after the convenience store was robbed. Williams was charged with armed robbery, breaking and entering and possession of a firearm by a felon. Subsequent to the investigation of the robbery, Williams also was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer and tampering with evidence.
The robbery occurred about 11:20 a.m. The arrest was made after Aurora police officers briefly searched the area. The arrest was made at 11:31 a.m. at 527 Seventh St., Aurora.
The amount of money stolen was not disclosed.
Williams was confined to the Beaufort County Detention Center under at $210,000 secured bond.
