The Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center will present its educational series Healthy Living with Cancer, beginning Thursday.

This four-week program is designed to help cancer survivors gain their well-being. Participants will meet with an oncologist, dietitian and exercise specialist. The series includes an appearance by Dr. Justin Yopp, a psycho-oncology expert from the University of North Carolina. Participants will learn invaluable tools and resources to help them stay healthy. Participants will receive helpful materials including nutritional information tailored to a cancer patient’s needs.

The group will meet at the LifeStyles Medical Fitness Center, 1375 Cowell Farm Road, Washington. Registration for this series is required, so call the cancer center at 975-4308 for more information or to register. Registration should be completed by Wednesday. Refreshments will be served.
