Alice Phelps Gurganus, 79, a resident of Williamston, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Martin General Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Plymouth. A visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1717 Bonnie Best Road, Williamston. Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home of Williamston.
