Vernon Madison Swindell, 72, a resident of New Bern, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at his home. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Barnett Cemetery, Hobucken, with the Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, Alliance.
