An animal-shelter tour and yard sale to benefit the Beaufort County Humane Society will be held May 14.

The yard sale begins at 8:30 a.m. Pet portraits by a professional photographer will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shelter tours will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. An off-site dog wash at the Wash N’ Go next to General Dollar on John Small Avenue will be ongoing throughout the day.

Ross Boyer, a partner in the Wash N’ Go car wash with special dog washing facilities, is donating the proceeds of all dog washes that day to the Humane Society. There will be someone there to help operate the equipment in the station built specifically for dog bathing.
