New LVBC Coordinator

Literacy Volunteers of Beaufort County announced the selection of Anna E. Sizemore as its new program coordinator. Sizemore replaces Deborah Cook who recently retired. Sizemore is a MLS graduate of East Carolina University and a retired media coordinator formerly with Washington High and Eastern Elementary schools in Washington. Sizemore will conduct day-to-day operations of the organization. She will greet those needing services, conduct their assessment and match them with an appropriate tutor from the volunteer list, suggesting materials and monitoring their progress. As a part-time employee, she will be in the office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays or by appointment at 252-974-1812. Literacy Volunteers of Beaufort County is a nonprofit organization funded by Beaufort County and the United Way and offers free confidential tutoring to legal residents of the county in reading, writing, speaking and math.
