Mrs. Audry Braxton Williams, a resident of 828 Hackney Ave., died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Pitt County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born to the late William & Hazel Murray Braxton on Nov. 20, 1935. She graduated from State of New York College at Old Westbury. She was an educator in the public schools for years. She was married to the Rev. John E. Williams, Sr., who preceded her in death March 4, 2010.
Survivors: two daughters, Sharon Williams of Washington, N.C., and Donna Lynn Dixon of Greenville, N.C.; one son-in-law, Antonio “Tony” Dixon; one son, John E. Williams, Jr., of Oakland, Calif.; three grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Leon Randolph Memorial Chapel.
Arrangements are by Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, N.C.
