I hope everyone will remember the reason for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. While you are cooking out with friends, boating or swimming, just remember the men and women who are not able to do that because they gave their lives in service to our country. Just take a moment to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
I think there should be tolls on the ferries. They have to buy fuel for them. We need to support the ferries.
If you consider how much a worker in Washington pays for gas to travel by road to and from the job site in Aurora each week, you will realize what a gift the free ferry riders have received all these years. Add to that the value of lower mileage on their vehicles. They should indeed be charged a fair toll.
