Adopt-a-Shelter Cat in June

This month, the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility is celebrating Adopt-a-Shelter Cat Month to assist its feline residents with more opportunity for finding homes.

During this promotion, the fee for adopting a cat or kitten is $5 instead of the normal of $35. The Humane Society of Beaufort County will pay the entire charge for the spay/neuter surgery that is required for every animal adopted from the county.

Come to the shelter during June, pick out a feline companion and pay only $5 to take him or her home.

The cost for shots, tests and medication are the responsibility of the adopter. Dog and puppy adoptions are not included in this promotion.
