Will you please put the baseball standings back in the sports page? They haven’t been there all week.

Suggestion for the city council and county commissioners: Both have stated that they have increases in insurance that are coming due that will increase the budget. Have they thought about passing on the cost of that to the employees rather than the taxpayers absorbing it? Secondly, has anyone thought about temporarily stopping contributions to employees’ 401K plans until the economy gets better? There are people in the county who have no insurance and no retirement, yet the city and county employees are riding on our backs. Think about it like a business.

The city has done it again. They have sent out energy efficiency surveys. I wonder how much that cost the taxpayers of Washington.

I live in Belhaven and I only know two or three who are angry and that is because they are the kind of people who will never be pleased.
