The Washington Noon Rotary Club presented $1,500 scholarships to two local students last Monday: Jeffery Moore Jr. (above) and Katelyn Singleton (below). Moore will attend Morehouse College in Atlanta this fall majoring in chemistry and hopes to become a radiologist or gynecologist. Singleton plans to major in elementary education at East Carolina University in Greenville and hopes to become a third-grade teacher upon graduation.
