As I drove down Second Street by the courthouse, I saw a guy putting a metal door up and the wood door was against the building. The next day I went and touched around the windows, and it was vinyl. That is against the historic district guidelines.
Editor’s note: The courthouse is not in the historic district; therefore it is not subject to those guidelines.
I would like to comment on the people who are complaining about the reduction in city utility rates versus those living in the county: You are on Washington Electric Utilities, but you also get Washington services. So, you need to take that into consideration when you are picked up by the EMS or helped out by the fire department.
I have to pay town taxes in the Town of Bath. Does that mean I get a 5 percent reduction on my electric bill?
