Beaufort County GOP meets June 30

State Rep. Bill Cook, a Republican from Beaufort County who represents District 6, will speak to the Beaufort County Republican Club at its June 30 meeting.

Cook is expected to discuss the recently passed state budget, redistricting and the state’s ferry system.

Either Al Klemm or Jay McRoy, both Beaufort County commissioners, will deliver a report on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.

The club will present another Teachers Aide Program award to a teacher from Eastern Elementary School in Washington.

The club will meet at Woogie’s Family Restaurant, 2871 U.S. Highway 17 South, Chocowinity. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., with the business portion of the meeting set for 6:45 p.m.
